When was the last time your needs came first? Not your patients. Not your family. Yours. Self care and self compassion seem to be the first things that leave us in burnout.
OMG, I feel so bad! Sound familiar? Guilt is supposed to be useful. But the kind is not. Burnout, guilt, they hurt when you are in burnout.
My newfound happiness is sitting in the stillness, with self compassion and self awareness and allowing myself peace.
The thoughts that feel most true at 2am are usually the ones most worth questioning. When you mental health struggles, your head is your own worst enemy.
